This holiday season, Samet is joining the Jessie Rees Foundation in their mission to encourage every child battling cancer to Never Ever Give Up, or “NEGU.”
Jessie Rees was 11 years old when she was diagnosed with two brain tumors and given only 12 to 18 months to live. When she learned that some children weren’t able to leave the hospital like she could, Jessie selflessly spent her last months stuffing jars with toys for young inpatients battling cancer.
Today, NEGU has continued Jessie’s efforts to help every child fighting cancer and has provided over 123,000 children from all over the world with JoyJars filled with toys and activities to make their days a little brighter.
During the month of November, we are hosting a JoyDrive in which everyone is encouraged to bring in toys that will be distributed to children with cancer who cannot leave the hospital. On December 5th, Samet will be making Care Cards with encouraging messages to go along with the toys.
We are so excited to be involved with NEGU and can’t wait to fill our bins! For more information on NEGU and how you can help, visit their website!
